Isabel Dress PDF Pattern

The Isabel Dress is an elegant dress full of charm and relaxed poise. This is an elevated pattern that works beautifully for stylish summer wearing as well as for more occasion-wear events.

Suitable for Intermediate sewers. 

The Isabel Dress is made with high quality finishings throughout which require precision and attention to detail. The result is a high end, polished garment that balances both design flare and beautiful finishings.

Construction techniques: Topstitch open seams, French seams, flat binding, ties, facings, pocket bags, hemming

Suitable fabrics: 

We recommend light weight woven fabrics that balance structure and movement. Softer fabrics will create a more fluid, relaxed silhouette, while slightly crisper fabrics will hold the shape of the skirt and waist detail more clearly. Suitable fabrics include cotton lawn/poplin, linen, tencel and silk dupion/taffeta.

Please note that the high collar and volume of fabric throughout the dress is much more comfortable to wear when made in softer, lighter fabrics.

Fabric requirements: Our lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage. 

Fabric width 150cm

• Sizes 4 - 12 = 3.6m (3 7/8 yd)
• Sizes 14 - 20 = 3.85m (4 1/4yd)
• Sizes 22 - 28 = 4.4 (4 3/4 yd)

Fabric width 110cm

• Sizes 4 - 12 = 4.75m (5 1/4 yd)
• Sizes 14 - 20 = 5.2m (5 5/8 yd)
• Sizes 22 - 28 = 5.65m (6 1/8 yd)

How to print your pattern:

You have two options for printing out your pattern.

1. You can get it printed in A0 at a printing shop or sewing pattern company. Search for "sewing pattern printing company" to find a company that does this in your region.

2. Or you can print it yourself on a home printer in A4 or US Letter format and then tile the pages together using tape.

Using PDF layers:

All of our patterns come with PDF layers so you can select the sizes you want to view and print. To do this you’ll need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is free to download).
