The Bilbo Vest is quilted, reversible waistcoat with bound edges. It has wide, dropped shoulders and a slightly rounded neckline.
You can make it with plain or with patchwork fabric, and choose whether to have side ties or button loops for the closure. You can also customise your vest with patch pockets or hand-quilting stitches. It's great for using up scraps, or small remnants of fabric.
The Bilbo Vest was inspired by my love of waistcoats, and Bilbo Baggins' style in The Lord of the Rings. I love layering it over shirts, dresses and light jumpers. It's perfect whether you're gardening, cosy at home, or off to a Hobbiton birthday party!
Sizing
Size range A-M goes from 86cm (33.5") to 153cm (59.8") hip.
